I did manage to copy the image of the old hard drive onto the new hard drive using the WD recovery disc (since that software was already on another pc) but I am now trying to back up the computer using the Acronis True Image WD Edition and it just froze during the backup and every time I try to do so it freezes (or hangs up) and the backup fails. I had been using the Seagate disc wizard on my older desktop PC running windows XP professional (sp3) but recently replaced the hard drive and the new one is a WD 160gb hard drive.
